We are excited to announce that Todd Park (@todd_park), the United States Chief Technology Officer at the White House will be chatting to the Big Data Week community this Tuesday April 24th at 2:00pm ET / 7:00pm BST. The White House recently announced their effort on Big Data, and the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is working with the Health Data Consortium to put on a “Rock Star” event called the Health Datapalooza the first week of June in Washington, DC.
The combination of governments releasing massive amounts of health data along with novel forms of data capture with examples from Asthmapolis to the eatery to ginger.io there are many interesting and unique opportunities to get involved. Come chat with Todd about the new White House effort and specifically about big data in the health sector.
