This is incredibly exciting. Focus on Big Data is key! For too long big data has been a problem - I have all this data, where do I store it, how do I store it, what can I do to catalog it so I can later retrieve it. Now the paradigm is changing. We realize "Big Data" offers solutions to "Big Problems" that we face as a society. UL Lafayette was recently recognized by the National Science Foundation as a industry-university center of excellence, "Center for Visual and Decision Informatics (CVDI)", in partnership with Drexel university and industry. Look to this center for exciting solutions to complex big data problems. I applaud Todd Park, HHS and the BigDataWeek team for their sharp focus on producing data-driven innovations!
