Hull Big Data week social – smart cities and the internet of things
Please come along for coffee and cake to discuss everything around big data. We are very keen to hear ideas and thoughts around data created by smart cities, for smart cities as well as the use of the internet of things. This is an informal gathering where people will have the chance to chat, ask questions and/or open up ideas to the group.
I’m delighted that Paul Miller will be joining us. Paul is an analyst and consultant, based in Beverley but working with clients world-wide. He mainly helps them understand the opportunities (and pitfalls) around cloud computing, big data, and open data, but also podcasts and writes for technology sites such as Gigaom Research and The Stack. His background includes public policy and standards work, several years in management at a UK software company… and a Ph.D in Archaeology.
Who is this event for? Anyone who is interested in big data and would like to contribute to ideas for projects, future hackathons and just talking about big data.
