‘Analysis of genome-wide sequencing data using iVEC´s supercomputer’
Maria Albertsen – ECU PhD candidate – will describe how she used iVEC supercomputing resources to analyse large next generation sequencing data
Data Protection – Breaking Down the Jargon
Rob Mollard – SGI Senior Storage Specialist – will provide an introduction to a variety of different data protection mechanisms, from RAID to Replication, Backup and Archive, the Cloud; we examine how they work and what are the best use cases? Is a public cloud or private cloud better for my data?
This event is ideally suited to anyone new to Big Data who wants to learn about how iVEC can assist their research and wants to learn about data protection with all the jargon explained.
