Big Data Here
Period – 26.10.2016- 28.10.2016
The Consumer Data Research Centre (CDRC) are hosting ‘Big Data Here’, a free exhibition of local, live data providing an alternative, digital view of the physical space around University College London (UCL).
Each day a different live data feed will be projected onto the north wall inside the North Lodge, opposite to an Ipad wall created by the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA), which will display live data across various screens. As well as being visible in real time to members of the public around the UCL space, people are invited to drop into the North Lodge on 26, 27 and 28 October between the hours of 12pm – 330pm to interact closely with the exhibits and have their questions about Big Data answered by the experienced CDRC team.
Data sources for the live exhibition include transit feeds from Transport for London (TfL) and demographic information from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The exhibition is free.
The exhibition is curated by members of the CDRC team based at UCL, led by our Senior Research Associate Oliver O’Brien, creator of Datashine and CDRC Maps.
