The Quantified Self World From an Individual’s Perspective

As the number of QS products and services explode, a number of core tracking issues are still being largely ignored by both the research and entrepreneur communities. This session will explore these issues, which range from the lifetime value of tracking to the lack of accurate data.

This talk will look at the issues individuals face within self-tracking. There are a number of major issues, such as the lack of accuracy of these devices, the surprisingly small lifetime value of most devices, how much context matters, privacy, and the hawthorne effect.

This talk will be led by Eugene Granovsky, the co-organizer of Chicago’s Quantified Self Meetup and the co-founder of AskMeEvery.

This event will be live streamed to the public. Click on the “register for tickets” link below to register and watch the free live stream.
